This is a really interesting game and I really like it. I didn't know there was more to the game, so I didn't get all of it. But it was really good. Keep it up.

Here's my channel for other games I have played. https://www.youtube.com/c/Levont

This was heavy to go through, but I highly enjoyed the presentation of this.

My hands are sweating! This one pulled me in and didn't let go. Amazing use of sound and ambience. Extremely creepy! Thank you for making this!

I really liked the originality and intensity of it. The ritual, the story, the characters, and the atmosphere all felt unique and turned out be much darker than I expected. Extremely well done!

Interesting short story, and the creepiness comes out really well with the use of one image and multiple effects / expressions. The effects and visuals really make it feel like two characters are talking through one body, it is a great idea with the limitations of the jam, and has been one of my favourite to playthrough.

Great job on the game idea, and it’s great to see that you managed to be creative in the limitations. Also I liked what you did with stopping the player from going through the story again, it really flowed perfectly with your conversations with your reflection.

I loved this game so much. The writing is superb and the fears it evokes about oneself while playing is a creepy feeling that is wonderfully unsettling.

I should add... my favourite game of the jam so far!

This was amazingly well done. The art is superb and the characters were defined in such a way as to make them believable and sympathetic, especially Ivy. What a great entry to the Jam! Makes me want to delve further into your other work.

I unfortunately didn't realize there was an extended version, and went through the original release.

Reflection was a short but definitely not sweet game.

Having been seriously depressed for years in the past, I related to the utter loneliness that Ivy seemed to be going through. While I have no experience with the occult, the small glimpse we received into the mirrors secrets was enough to make me curious as to its origins.

In my video, I talk a lot about the psychological aspects of what was going on. Had there been more to the story, I would've loved to dive deeper into what was going on in Ivy's life. If y'all ever decide to make a version of the game that's longer like Graveyard Girls (which I also enjoyed) I will definitely revisit this!

I really loved how unique this concept was and the way you guys handled such serious topics! The way you guys didn't shy from the gritty details and really dove into that /feeling/ of SI, took my breath away. I genuinely felt for both characters involved and the way they interacted with each other. I especially loved the way you differentiated between the 2 characters when talking in such a unique way, I think y'all did amazing over all!

i wish there was more i could say to this other than it's beautiful, poetic, and eerie with its own pit of despair. but i loved this. each asset was used so well, and it stood out. you guys did amazing!

Surprisingly deep and dark for the game jam project, wow!

Usually, I expect good games from game jams and especially, visual novels are the best way to translate the narrative both visually and verbally - well, this game was way bigger and better than I expected for sure.

The character was very relatable and strong. I liked the little details and well written story. Most of all, I loved the music and sentences used in the game. Personally, I think the game could have used more textures or images, maybe showcasing the transition between the mirror word entity and the character as them being very different, but, overall, the game is fantastic.

If you are planning on updating the game after the Jam, I wish to know that. Good luck and if you want to hear more of my review, it stars at 12:51. Cheers ✌

Thank you so much for this review and your feedback! It is very appreciated.

Due to the rules of the game jam, we weren't allowed to have any image changes aside from expressions, the scene itself could not change during gameplay or we'd be breaking the rules.

Reflection is part of the "only one of any asset jam" so we had to think outside the box!

We will definitely be updating and adding more cinematic transitions and creating a unique entity in the future :)

Again, thank you so much, watching your video was very fun.

I did not know that Sam, I apologize. I read about the Jam, just the theme and it perfectly captured the essence of it.
Great work!
